“Lighthouse Keeper” venues throughout the downtown area. An online auction will follow, to raise funds for
children’s after-school art programs.

Special Photography Exhibit

Art Harbor gallery will host a special exhibit of photography of the shapes and sights of the Lowcountry in black and white, monochrome, and selective color – Carolina, seen through the lens of area photographers in shades of gray.

Several noted area photographers will share their vision of their “home in monochrome” July 17th – August 15th. Photographers’ reception, July 24th from 4-7 PM.

Saturday, June 19th is going to be a fun day in Georgetown, with plenty of activities for all the family.

Art harbor Gallery and The Cottage are partnering to host another Plein Air – event “Painting Georgetown Back to Front”. A number of local artists will be painting “Plein Air” (a style of painting outside, popularized in the 19th-century by the French impressionist school of painters) on the sidewalks of Georgetown’s historic downtown district.

Completed works will be available to either view or purchase at each artist’s home gallery. There will be an artist reception from 2 pm -4 pm at the Art harbor Gallery ( 912 Front Street) and the Cottage ( 817 Front Street). We look forward to seeing you!

an “En Plein Air” event

Join the artists of Art Harbor Gallery, The Cottage, and The Georgetown Art Gallery as they paint “En Plein Air” in Georgetown’s Historic Business District. Reception to follow at the Cottage from 2:00 pm – 3 pm (finished works will available for purchase). Masks are required at all locations and please observe social distancing.

Join acclaimed, award-winning artist, Tommy Beaver for his exciting impressionist landscape oil painting workshop. Paint along with Tommy and learn his innovative oil painting techniques. Space is limited to 6 participants, age 16 or older, and will run from 11 AM to 4 PM with a break for lunch. Participants should bring their own painting materials and tabletop or floor standing easel. (There will be limited loaner easels available.) There will be adequate space for safe distancing. The cost is $125 per person. Reserve your space with a $25 deposit. Balance is due on the day of the workshop. Should there be too few participants signed up by July 18th, The workshop will be canceled and Art Harbor Gallery will notify those who have signed up and refund deposits. No-shows will not receive a refund.
